About the role:

Working in this newly created, hands-on operational role in our fast-paced Scotland Regional Service Centre in Motherwell, you will support the RSC Manager to develop and manage all warehouse and pre-retail operations.

Managing all retail stock coming into and out of the warehouse, the Warehouse Duty Manager will drive efficiencies throughout the operation in order to achieve the best possible performance. You will ensure that the staff balance and profile mix between full-time and part-time provides the required support to the operation, offering flexibility to react to volume fluctuations.

You will be responsible for providing clear targets to the warehouse team, overseeing productivity statistics, establish productivity tracking tools and review methods and procedures in order to maximise performance. Leading by example, you will be a mentor and role model to the team, providing guidance and feedback to enhance performance whilst ensuring that safety is not compromised.

Ensuring that all daily and weekly reports are completed accurately and timely, with any subsequent actions recorded and monitored, you will present the Warehouse Manager with any recommendations.


About you;

You must have gained experience in a retail or distribution management post and be confident in dealing with resource management to react to changing operational situations.

A confident communicator and strong people manager, you will be able to establish positive working relationships and be able to lead and coach a team to drive productivity and continuous improvement.

You must possess excellent organisational skills and be able to prioritise and manage workloads for both yourself and your team in a fast-paced, busy and challenging environment
