We are excited to partner up with House of CB exclusively on their search for a Raw Materials Manager, this is a newly created role to head a new department while collaborating closely with Directors on a Creative and Purchasing level.

Responsibilities
* The Raw Materials Manager will be responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of all Fabrics and Trimmings from development through to production and provide textile knowledge/ training to cross-functional teams
* Be a central point of contact within the company for high-level material expertise, which through its vital role and networking provides added value for the organization (e.g., knowledge building, workshops, project management)
* You will be responsible for sourcing and building strong relationships with the best factories and mills globally while working closely with the Product Team to help execute their creative ideas, to ensure innovation and continuous improvement.
* You will supervise all sustainability initiatives and compliance for the business and ensure fair practice with all our partners.

What are they looking for in you?
* Bachelor's degree from a recognized university, preferably in Textile/ Apparel Sciences
* At least 5 years of experience in textile sourcing and developing, product, supply chain, vendor strategy or in comparable fields
* Knowledgeable in product development, production processes and best practices
* Advanced knowledge of product construction, critical path, costing, manufacturing, and calendar management
* In depth knowledge of fashion and products in relevant category -'fashion sensibility' - knowledge of trends, the market, the luxury consumer, and peer awareness
* Demonstrated expert technical product knowledge, including specifics on areas such as knit, construction, pattern cutting, fabric construction, raw material (woven and yarns),
* Excellent product and supply chain knowledge
* Able to manage within a budget with commercial awareness and understanding of product cost, achieving a balance between creativity and commercial implications throughout the product development process
* Visionary expert in the field of materials, innovation & sustainability
* Demonstrate knowledge of sustainability and best practice.
* Excellent analytical and record keeping skills
* Highly advanced project management skills, strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
* Strong collaborative, organizational, and people skills
* Able to establish high standards in the procurement process
* Able to work in a fluid, fast-paced, multi-channel environment.
* Ability to travel as needed
* Effective communication and negotiation skills
* A people's person with the ability to build relationships and negotiate with ease.
* Highly organised with strong time, people, and project management skills.
* Independent but enjoy working in a team and have a flexible approach to working.
* Fluent in spoken and written English.
