EUDON CHOI is a contemporary designer label launched in 2008 and renowned for its innovative tailoring pieces. The collections are stocked at international designer boutiques and department stores as well as online. The brand creates four seasonal collections per year with several projects, commissions and collaborations running alongside.

Job description

The position is responsible for the product development of the collection after the initial design stage ensuring the brand’s standards of quality and price and the on time delivery of all materials to manufacturers and stockists. 

This is a cross functional role that works closely with all internal departments, reporting to the Production Manager and Creative Director. 
The work environment at Eudon Choi is fast-paced and energetic, based in East London. 

Responsibilities will include: 

• Day to day contact with factories and mills in UK, Korea, and China regarding production and operation enquiry
• Liaise with Production Manager and Creative Director to draft seasonal operation time frame and be responsible for keeping production to the schedule
• Working with suppliers on Critical Path updates and production deadlines, and daily problem solving to eliminate risk of production delays
• Seasonal product development tasks which include raw material and packaging, sourcing and counter-sourcing, price-checking, fabric rating, Zedonk inputting, arranging pre-production sample making, and spec book set-up and maintenance
• Be on top of the in-house and in-factory raw materials stock level, placing Purchase Orders with trim and fabric suppliers, and chasing in orders
• Attend SMS and PPS fitting sessions, propose and be responsible for all technical comments and grading
• Accountable for arranging all the in-house production photoshoots, including casting and booking models, photo retouching, liaising with Production Manager and Sales Agents with the documents organizing and on time uploading to Joor
• Assist Production Manager and Marketing Team on generating seasonal linesheets, preparing training manuals for wholesale customers, and fabric swatch card making
• Responsible for Quality Control such as quality checking of raw materials and final products in the studio, seasonal factory visits in Europe, sending QC reports to factories, and providing advice on garment constructions in line with industry standards 
• Recruit and train production interns, regarding Adobe and Microsoft Office operating, handling photoshoots and photo retouching, seasonal production quality assurance and the in-house flaw fixing when necessary. Intern’s Daily task allocating, scheduling, and overseeing
• Preparation of all the shipment of materials and final products, including packing, commercial invoice generating, contacting customs and couriers when necessary 
• Execute general admin tasks by organizing the production invoices and making sure they are paid on time, purchasing stationery and packaging materials, and general room arranging for different occasions such as fittings and production photoshoots

Profile

⁃ Highly organized with excellent problem-solving skills
⁃ Meticulous with a key eye on details and a natural ability to multi-task with strict adherence to deadlines
⁃ Motivated and enthusiastic about the brand 
⁃ A large proportion of the role will be computer based, hence, a good understanding of Microsoft Excel and the Adobe Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) are essential. Knowledge of Zedonk is advantageous. 
⁃ Excellent writing and communications skills
⁃ Basic knowledge of patterns, fabrics, garment construction, and finishing
⁃ An effective team player
⁃ Willing to travel when required
