Job description

Group PR's focus is delivering high value footfall to our collection of Villages, and a key part of this is to promote the high quality reputation of the Villages and the brands available to international guests.  The PR Manager reports into the Senior PR Manager to support with the development of and implement the PR plan in respect of the brand positioning of The Bicester Village Shopping Collection. The role is responsible for developing and implementing PR programmes and social campaigns that maintain a positive image and momentum across global consumer media, tourism publications, influencers and the Group's owned channels, in each of the Group's key international markets.
Development of a Content Calendar : working with 11 Villages and other functions such as digital and marketing, across Europe (including the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy) and China to develop and implement global and domestic integrated content calendar  and events, whilst also promoting the Villages as must-visit destinations in Value Retail's key tourist markets (China, The Middle East, Russia)
* Budget management: management and strategic planning for budget
* Effective measurement and evaluation: looking at reach of coverage in each Village and in the key markets and leading in the production of bespoke reports for executive consumption
* Stakeholder management: proactively drafting regular updates for Villages, brands, senior leaders and investors

Source Market Support
Managing agency network: agency selection, day-to-day management and briefing, contract development and performance evaluation
Support Senior PR Manager on the  strategy: looking at consumer insights and key tourism booking cycles to support PR teams across the business, developing KPIs in line with business and marketing objectives
Influencer and media planning and engagement: working with influencers and media in key markets in order to drive awareness, increase footfall and sales of specific brands/products, and increase social media following and engagement
Liaison between Villages and source market agencies: This involves but is not limited to:
* Requesting/providing assets for Village ‘hero' activity;
* Co-ordinating Q&As (for example, designer Q&A requests);
* Drafting responses if the Q&A is for a Value Retail representative; 
* Management of source market briefings: Once Source markets briefed by Group PR collate responses and provide overview and recommendations as required;
* Managing coverage and measurement requests made of source market teams

Destination Marketing and Tourism PR
Travel & Tourism PR: leading the tourism PR strategy from development to execution (both consumer and B2B), supporting Tourism sales activities and trade show attendance e.g. WTTC by securing interviews, providing talking points to spokespeople to drive thought leadership
Managing PR aspects of travel / tourism trade shows
* Co-developing communications objectives and KPIs based on location and objectives of show:
* Development of assets including:
* Press Release
* Briefing documents for spokespeople
* Media packs for press
* Media relations where relevant
* Source market coordination and pitching the media based on network of tourism contacts and expertise
* News monitoring, photo-call and onsite announcement coordination
* Deployment of assets to media and source market agencies
* Board level wrap report and key learnings to be delivered the week following the show

* Development of press release and media relations to agreed media on trade events, partner activity/ joint announcements and Value Retail news
* Ad-hoc press office media requests, this includes:
* Authoring Q&As for distribution in travel trade publications when needed under the direction of Group PR
* Village support on travel trade media –

* Creation and management of a master database of B2B media across all European and source markets



*Bachelor's Degree preferred – ideally on Public Relations, Communications
*International experience in Public relations with a genuine passion for fashion and retail sector (luxury / retail / lifestyle sector)
*Flexibility and proactivity  
*Rolodex of international Journalists and Influencers
*Excellent communication and time management skills - excellent written and oral communication skills
*A team player with the ability to organize , prioritize and multitask effectively
*Demonstrated success with highest value media ( press, social, event, non-traditional)
*Management of international events
*Fluent in English and another language desirable
