Job description
The People Solutions (PS) Consultant will support the Dir, People Solutions Consultant Retail & Corporate in crafting the overall NIKE Inc. teammate experience through delivery of the specialised employee relations (ER) services for the retail talent segment in the UK. In collaboration with other PS team members, you will be the main point of contact and source of expertise for all ER mentorship and support & steward the employment and cultural brand of Nike Inc.

You will ensure fair and consistent delivery of Nike policies and procedure, as well as promoting and maintaining employee well-being, whilst minimising and maintaining compliance and proactively educating employees and managers at every touch point, in a consultative manner to allow them to make decisions that provide fair employment experience throughout the organisation.
You need to have strong communication, and listening skills to engage with a broad business audience (employees to outstanding customer focus and ability to see opportunities to improve a seamless teammate experience, meticulous execution of routine and complex processes, strong mentorship and coaching capability to develop talent; ability to empower and drive employees and exceptional emotional intelligence and empathy and knowledge of relevant employment laws and local regulations for the key areas served.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON?
If this is you, you work with the People Solutions team acting according to Nike Inc.'s Leadership defined framework (Leading Yourself). You'll be encouraging available self service solutions to teammates and people leaders, leading Nike Inc. risk mitigation efforts through effective employee counselling efforts and be involved in partner management as an active professional ambassador of HR whilst building positive relationships within the business.
A typical day/week would consist of being the point of escalation for HR professionals, business managers and employees regarding routine, non-complex policy and process interpretation, questions, and for advice and counsel on misconduct and corrective action, both for Retail and Corporate. Providing advice to the business, HR and investigate partners on topics such as quality of work / performance issues (attendance, job abandonment, poor judgement, productivity, and performance management); misconduct and policy violations. Conducting fact finding/ seeking to understand conversations and raises Matter of Respect, Conduct Standards and Conflict of Interest investigations to the Employee Relations team. Co-facilitating management and non management training programs, in relation to Nike Code of Ethics policies. Identifying trends and recommending proactive interventions minimising risk and developing procedures, processes and guidance notes to aid with the advice and direction for people managers and work collaboratively with colleagues across People Solutions to support the introduction of new revised policies.

You will report directly to the Director of People Solutions Consulting Retail whilst having key interactions with Teammate Experience Services, COE's and HRBPs in support of their teams.

WHAT YOU BRING
- Solid professional experience in human resources advisory specifically running grievance & disciplinary procedures as well as issuing corrective actions
- Strong familiarity with UK employment legislation!
- Exceptional communication - effectively & professionally conveying challenging messages in high stress situations.
- Experience in delivering training and in participating in HR/Employee Relations project(s).
