Job description

The Estée Lauder Companies is currently recruiting for an Operations Support Manager within the Assembly department on day shift to join an experienced and committed team at Whitman Laboratories where as a site we manufacture around a fifth of Estée Lauder's global sales output. We would love for you to come and join the Estée Lauder family, where the successful candidate will be responsible for planning and scheduling production equipment change-over activity to maximize effectiveness across all shifts, as we continue our exciting journey of innovation, change and transformation. Key Responsibilities will include: Plan, schedule and manage ALL Washroom and A-Aisle Activity to maximize effectiveness across all shifts. Manage direct and indirect reports to ensure they strive for excellence & efficiency. Flexible working pattern, good communication skills for reports and general correspondence to ensure effective 24/7 communication. Good IT and written skills including technical information as well as general site briefings for direct and indirect reports. The tenacity and resilience to manage a team in a challenging environment with the ability to persuade, influence and motivate with tact & diplomacy. Problem solving and root cause analysis to achieve a common objective by building long term relationships in a multi-disciplined environment. Take Ownership and participate in Quality and Micro investigations in a compliant timely manner. Effective daily performance management of Washroom staff to include appraisals, recognition, coaching and succession planning. Support and monitor sickness and absence. Working under a degree of pressure providing high levels of customer service in a production environment. Facilitate cross functional improvements with team and other departments to Engage, Empower and Enable individuals to drive Continuous Improvement and Right-First-Time behaviours. Responsible for departmental process controls and procedures to ensure compliant working methods. Review departmental documentation and working methods and seek improvement opportunities. Drive delivery and compliance with Health & Safety, cGMP, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Material Usage Variance and other site strategies and initiatives. Deliver high levels of Customer Service across ALL shifts and be responsible for the storage, delivery, service and repairs of Change Parts. Manage Contact and Change Parts in a Just-In-Time manner avoiding any loss of production.

Profile

Candidate information: Manufacturing/process experience of creams, lotions, fragrance and liquids. Safe working methods using procedures and structured working techniques. Good verbal and written communication. Team leader willing to share knowledge. Computer Literate Qualifications that are essential/desirable for this role include: Experience in working in a Clean Room environment or similar. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in suitable discipline.
