Job description

The Retail marketing manager is responsible for developing and executing M.A.C retail marketing strategy in Free Standing Stores & Key 3rd Party accounts for the UK & Ireland. Working cross-functionally and alongside the Snr Retail Marketing Manager, the Retail Marketing Manager is responsible for enhancing consumer experience and connection to the brand within their accounts, driving bespoke omni-channel Retail marketing & differentiation plans across the UK & Ireland. He/She provides the business visibility on challenges and opportunities around their accounts including FSS. He/She monitors marketing performance per door identifying best practices and influencing future plans, driving revenue growth through marketing in order to ensure brand building and further support sales & growth targets. This role has 3 key focuses: Further develop and implement an omni-channel approach across their accounts, defining and executing retail marketing plans in-line with location, target audience and retailer requests, and drive Brand distortion defining, coordinating and implementing activation (VM, Event, Influencer, Paid Media...). Key roles and responsibilities, include: Shape, manage and execute the retail partnership marketing strategy and calendar for their accounts across the UK & Ireland Identify opportunities within each account making recommendations to achieve sales ambition and working collaboratively across all MAC functions including Sales, Online, Product Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Influencer Marketing, Paid Media, Content, CRM to activate on opportunities Define and drive M.A.C exclusive programs & initiatives (NPD & Promotion) relevant to their doors hand in hand with Product Marketing team Drive an efficient retail event strategy anchored around: Content creation, sales activation, and brand equity building Act as the point of contact between Brand and Creative Acceleration/Visual Merchandising hub providing the Visual Merchandising strategy by NPD launch and initiative by account Manage the Retail Marketing budget for respective accounts Drive the creation and delivery of the retailer strategy & plans within Retailer Strategy meetings for their accounts Deliver a fully integrated plan ensuring strong coordination and alignment with the ecommerce team (.co.uk & 3rd party online) Be the brand guardian and champion for the brand across their accounts, acting as the marketing point of contact for external trading/buying teams for their accounts Work closely & collaboratively with global team on key 5* projects and initiatives to identifying local support needed relevant to Retail Marketing Using insights into consumers' profile and behaviours define a compelling marketing strategy within their accounts to increase consumers' engagement and conversion to the M.A.C brand Drive M.A.C brand values, Must Win Battles and brand strategic priorities across their accounts Position M.A.C Free Standing Stores as the Brand flagship stores supporting brand strategy and further building commercial momentum. With the support of the Retail Marketing Assistant lead the execution of new door and counter openings across the estate driving awareness and buzz within local area ensuring sales goals are achieved Lead and coordinate the creation and delivery of marketing materials and content for their accounts hand in hand with the Content Manager and Design Studio Analytics: conduct competitors audits and benchmarking, trend tracking to identify risks and opportunities with Business Analyst to shape retail marketing plans accordingly Track campaigns performance per account to create a framework highlighting best practices Ensure smooth adaptation and integration of globally created content relevant to retail marketing into M.A.C marketing plans with their accounts working hand in hand with content team. Drive local content creation relevant to their accounts to overcome any gaps left by Global content or build on a local opportunity Support the corporate commercial team with multi-branded activations with a brand lens Act as the Point of contact for their accounts working with key content stakeholders (Online, Sales, Artistry and Education team, PR&Coms...) Manage the development of the Retail Marketing Assistant Q


Previous experience working as a retail/trade marketing manager ideally within a related category. Strong commercial outlook and an ability to drive revenue growth through marketing. Strong project management experience Highly motivated and passionate about retail marketing. Result driven Solid understanding of analytics. Experience of global brands an advantage
