Job description

At MAC we are looking for a passionate, insights driven Consumer Analyst. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business action and strategy. The Consumer Analyst will work alongside all core functions within the MAC brand as well as ELC corporate online and marketing teams to uncover and share key strategic opportunities for the brand, by weaving together data from sales, online analytics, customer insights, 3rd party retailer data and more. Analysis & Insights The central point person who connects all of the data points available to the brand from sales, NPD, customer data, CRM, online KPIs etc to build a holistic view of MAC customer behavior Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and own regular reporting on customer insights which feed into and ultimately drive the MAC brand strategy Deliver ad hoc reporting and insights for specific brand challenges or tactical opportunities Analysis of online consumer behavior and journey through dedicated online reporting and content monitoring tools, making recommendations for improvements and connecting these insights to overall customer behavior Work closely with key brand stakeholders to define and prioritise insight needs, make recommendations on analysis to be carried out to address these Locate and define new process improvement opportunities with regards to data collection and analysis Drive the brand roadmap with regards to the future of insights and analytics; recommending best practices, industry insights, identifying gaps and opportunities within our capabilities and data Communication & Stakeholder Management Partnering with the brand online, consumer engagement and sales teams to understand their needs and questions, driving insights to help meet these needs and identify clear strategic opportunities for the brand Partnering with corporate online and enterprise marketing teams to align on data, reporting tools, shared learnings and insights Present findings back in a clear and confident way, to a variety of stakeholders in the business Q

Profile

Proven working experience as a Data Analyst/ Analytics and Insights Manager Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques Knowledge of reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc) preferable Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings to a wide audience of stakeholders Knowledge and experience with online reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Data Studio etc preferable
