Inbound Logistics Analyst - 12 Month FTC

Salary Range: £25,000 - £31,000 per year

VF Corporation/Brand is looking for an exceptional Inbound Logistics Specialist to join our EMEA Inbounds Logistics Team. This position is based in Bardon DC in the UK.

Let's Talk about the Role

The Inbound Logistics Specialist is the primary go-to person for all inbound logistics flows for all active brands in EMEA from origin to EMEA Distribution Centers and other activities.

How You Will Make a Difference

You will achieve this by:

* Act as first escalation point for operational inbound logistics issues called out by EMEA Distribution centers teams.
* Collaborate actively with EMEA Supply chain operations teams to delivery operational Logistics Key Performance indicators.
* Maintain close coordination with VF Logistics team in Asia and Europe, to ensure efficient origin exit from manufacturing.
* Support the Inbound Logistics Operations team to deliver operational logistics performance for the inbound logistics flow into EMEA Distribution centers, covering all ship-modes (Ocean/Air/Express/Rail/Road).

Detailed Role Summary

* Takes on the overseeing role of all ocean/truck/air/courier/rail operations into UK.
* Owns cross-brands communication towards Vans, Timberland, TNF Operations team for the flow into Bardon DC.
* Knows the ins and outs regarding (operationally linked) customs activities & formalities, in cooperation with VF Customs team.
* Keeps system up to date with carrier milestones
* Monitors performance of service providers and reports operational issues with service providers back to Inbound Logistics Manager.
* Develops a fundamental partnership with UK DC Receiving team.
* Is in control of the SOP execution and keeping SOP up to date (defining process, communications and roles & responsibilities of stakeholders).
* Will set-up any new and/or back-up carriers

* Ability to work autonomously as well as in teams
* Be self-organised with strong analytical skill-set
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Exposure to and Knowledge of in-transit visibility tools (GT Nexus) and ERP systems, most notably SAP
* Fluent and English (speaking and written) - Italian is a plus
* Ability to travel 5-10 % (mainly within Europe)
* Experience in Transportation & Logistics
