About the role

As the Head of Product Management & Platform, you will lead the Product Management and UX Teams as well as be accountable for the relationship and management of our platform providers. You will be at the forefront of driving the strategic direction of key omnichannel platform initiatives whilst driving the efficient execution of the delivery processes. Leveraging agile methodologies, your role will be pivotal in innovating our digital retail and website experiences, enhancing customer acquisition and retention and working alongside business functions to delivery continual change to drive business value.

Strategy for Ecommerce and Omnichannel Platform

  • Develop and communicate a clear agile strategy for the ecommerce and omnichannel platform that aligns with organizational goals and customer expectations.
  • Develop and implement a clear operating model that provides a 'business partner' function to the business teams into Product Management and into the platform to drive all elements of the business strategy
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and omnichannel trends to drive innovation and enrich customer experiences and drive performance
  • Implement and maintain a clear set of deliverables and goals to enable our third parties to deliver against a clear strategic set of goals
Development and Omnichannel Implementation

  • Lead the agile ecommerce and omnichannel development team in creating, developing, and implementing cutting-edge platform solutions using agile methodologies.
  • Drive the relationship with the centralized PMO working alongside the team to identify key areas of change coming from initiatives and support across the teams.
  • Advocate for agile practices such as Scrum or Kanban, ensuring the team embraces agile principles throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Foster a culture of iterative collaboration, adaptability, and rapid omnichannel iteration within the development team.
  • Through clear KPI management and operating model this role will monitor, maintain and drive the operational performance of the omni channel platform, including outages and overall response times to issues and solution, identifying key areas
Omnichannel Project Management and Delivery

  • Develop and execute project plans for ecommerce and omnichannel initiatives, ensuring iterative and incremental value delivery.
  • Create, maintain and be able to clearly communicate our Product/Initiative backlog being able to clearly demonstrate the value from each initiative and related costs.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies like sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to drive transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to prioritize agile omnichannel projects and optimize resource allocation.
Quality Assurance and Omnichannel Testing

  • Establish agile quality assurance standards and processes that support frequent testing and validation of omnichannel features through out platform provider
  • Seamlessly integrate testing within the agile development process to ensure a consistent flow of high-quality omnichannel releases.
Team Leadership and Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing agile product management team & user experience team.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members, fostering their growth and input into the business priorities based on market and business conditions
  • Create a collaborative, customer-centric, and empowered agile work environment that encourages innovation and customer-focused iteration
Performance Monitoring and Omnichannel Analytics

  • Define agile KPIs tailored for omnichannel success, measuring performance and customer engagement across channels
  • Utilize data analytics and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement, inform agile decisions, and guide future omnichannel enhancements
Stakeholder & 3rd Party Suppliers Management

  • Working with key stakeholders and functions across the business. Key functions include Ecommerce, Retail, Logistics, Customer Services, IT, Marketing.
  • Managing 3rd Party relationships and accountability for driving their performance to achieve business outcomes.

About You

  • Significant experience in digital product and platform management ideally within a fast-paced retail business
  • Proven experience in leading digital transformation and managing third party providers
  • Skilled in driving operational performance, advocating agile practices and striving for continuous improvement
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to drive enhancements through data and customer insights
  • Strategic leadership of technology partnerships with experience in delivering functional changes at pace against a clearly defined roadmap
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience in building and developing high performing teams
