The Music Room is a Fashion Events company, we specialize in Sample Sales, PR Events, Fashion Shows and similar functions. Our team is large but heavily filled with freelancers, whereas the office staff is 3 person. The team work to put together both the logistics of events, planning and marketing (including the running of social medias).
The company is situated in the heart of Mayfair, right next to Oxford St and Bond St tube station.

Job description

Purpose of the role
To support the Event Manager and Venue Manager during events from planning to execution. Support with marketing and digital media content and ad-hoc creative projects and admin tasks..
Main Responsibilities
Support Management team with event preparation admin including floorplans, running orders, health & safety checks, marketing assets, etc. Support in setting up venue furniture (tables, rails, chairs, mirrors, cloakroom) prior to and after events. During events assist with queries from brands and customers, troubleshooting to ensure all runs smoothly.
Core Duties:
Support with content creation for social media platforms and website. Assist with developing and executing strategies to increase social media presence. Build relationships with key bloggers, influencers and PRs to collaborate on promotional projects. Design mail-outs for events to send to The Music Room database on Mailchimp. Support with website maintenance and improvements. Maintain profiles on venue listing sites and report on opportunities for growth and reach. Support with creative & branding projects on an ad-hoc basis.
General Duties: For example
Update enquiry database and maintenance of event folders & photos.
Conduct research on events, brands, trends, industry updates and report back to Event Manager
Ensure computer consumables, such as toners and cartridges, paper etc, are in stock and compatible.
Support with venue consumables inventories including stationery, general office supplies, cleaning supplies, kitchen consumables etc and ensure that all stocks are kept tidy and restocked when needed.


Entry Requirements:
Has a keen interest in fashion, events and culture
Ability to work evenings and weekends with a flexible, conscientious approach to work. Experience of using Microsoft Office, Excel, Photoshop and Mail Chimp

Skills Required:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong time management skills. Highly organised with ability to multi-task and work under pressure to tight deadlines. Team player with a hands-on, can do approach. Diligent, conscientious with high attention to detail. Pro-active, enthusiastic and promotes a positive, professional image with clients and contacts

Training & Mentoring:
We will train the employees in basic marketing, promotional activities and how to track ROI. The role will also include training across social media channels and the logistics behind event planning.
