The Fabrics & Trims Purchasing Manager will manage all the flow of the Purchase, both for new and existing fabrics and trims, inspiring and driving newness to each range across the brand, buying fabrics and trims within instructions of “ Fabrics Research and Development” for, commercial and technical parameters.

•Works closely with the “Fabrics Research and Development” during the development process to identify the best fabric and trims to create the designs, contributing and inputting ideas to the team
•Sources key fabrics and trends seasonally following instructions of “Fabrics Research and Development”
•Works closely with suppliers to develop Standards and Prices of new fabrics and trims from existing ones.
•Follow and define lead-time of new designs and colourways during development.
•Visits the fabric supplier’s mills and the QC suppliers to collect amendments to invoices coming to the QC relating fabric qualities and length
•Builds and maintains strong relationships with existing as well as new suppliers, sourcing and negotiating the best price on fabrics and trims without compromising on quality
•Conducts price negotiation, sampling order, lead-time, and minimum order quantity with mills, fabric suppliers and fabric converters to achieve business targets.
•Monitors and manage left-overs of Fabrics and Trims and propose substitutions
•Monitors planning and budget objectives
•(Visits and sources from international trade fairs and suppliers and attending supplier meetings)
•Reviews and maintains the department’s fabric library to ensure this is kept up to date
•Compiles key fabric and trim mood boards for each collection
•Manufacturing coordinator for collection & client orders


  • Ideally from a luxury fashion background
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in buying/purchasing Fabric & Trims
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong communication skills (communicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing)
  • Excellent knowledge of accessories and luxury goods
  • Excellent knowledge of fabrics and trims across accessories
  • Demonstrates the enthusiasm to grow and adapt within a fast growing business
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet key deadlines
  • High attention to detail
