Apply now for the chance to join an incredible team!Role Purpose:To ensure the effective management of the logistics function within the EMEA business with overall responsibility for all inbound and outbound freight movements into and across EMEA; ensuring all movements of goods are customs compliant; day to day management of third-party warehouse and leading a small team of logistics specialists/administrators.MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:Warehouse:
- Responsible for the relationship and oversight of the offsite, 3PL Distribution Centres
- Work with Inventory Management to develop a rolling 12-month plan/forecast of warehouse capacity requirements to support wholesale/ retail /.com requirements for both Footwear and apparel business units.
- Ensure weekly and monthly forecasts are supplied to help the warehouse plan their workload and capacity
- Working with the 3PL team, maximise warehouse shipping capabilities (intake; picking; VAS; extra ordinary activities; despatch, etc) to ensure that our customer needs are met and our monthly invoicing targets are achieved whilst remaining in control of costs.
- Ensure all inbound finished goods purchase orders are receipted at warehouse within the SLAs to maximise order book conversion opportunities.
- Ensure that the stock on our Aurora ERP system is correct and matches the inventory levels that appear on DSV's warehouse management system and that all inventory movements are accurately recorded to meet our financial reporting obligations.
- Work with the European Customer Services Manager to identify picking priorities and ensure that they are followed by the warehouse.
- To produce regular analysis of the warehouse's performance against the SLAsInbound and outbound freight:
- Develop and manage the European inbound and outbound carrier network to meet market and customer requirements, including negotiation with and selection of third-party logistics providers.
- Lead negotiations with carriers, freight forwarders, and consolidators.
- Conduct regular tender processes across the carrier network to ensure costs remain competitive whilst continuing to meet customer expectations.
- To produce regular analysis of transport costs and service levels to illustrate progress vs. targets and identify areas for improvement.Trade Compliance:
- Working with internal teams both locally and globally to ensure that New Balance is fully compliant with all aspects of inbound and outbound customs.
- Ensure data is received from factories and other partners and provided on time and in full to the 3PL to maintain the compliance of the bonded warehouses.
- Ensure data is accurately recorded and updated when needed to maintain compliance.General:
- Develop effective working relationships across the business
- Provide Management Information as required illustrating costs and/or impact on service levels regarding extra ordinary activities (e.g. storage of old stock; urgent shipments; VAS etc).
- Continuous improvement of all warehouse, inbound and outbound freight processes
- Ensure all logistics processes and procedures are fully documented and current.
- Creates, manages and develops a high performing team.
