Job description

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for setting up our ecommerce department ready for handover to our team in 6 months time. Your role will involve the delivery of online private and public sales through direct management of our ecommerce platform and establishing systems and best practices in your department. You’ll be expected to deliver maximum online revenue, increase customer acquisition, engagement and retention. You will be confident with web analytics and a variety of back end ecommerce systems.

Profile

The Person
  • Proven hands-on experience of running an ecommerce website
  • Strong technical understanding of how ecommerce websites operate and function
  • Strong understanding of the logistics of an items journey, from upload to sale to delivery.
  • Working as a key member of the office team providing operational support
 
  • Great analytical and numerical skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Good experience of web analytics tools to interrogate key performance indicators including website traffic, item purchase conversion, and the ability to offer well-presented insights based on findings
  • A strong customer and commercial awareness
  • Minimum 3 years experience required
  • A positive, can-do, enthusiastic attitude
  • An interest in the business of fashion
  • Ability to build strong, trustworthy, working relationships with a variety of companies and individuals

Specific needs

The Responsibilities:

Merchandising and Operations
• Day-to-day management of the ecommerce website including; product and content upload, writing product descriptions, site optimization and merchandising.
• Managing testing protocols for all phases of platform set up and launch
• Organising the staff plans for running a sale, directing staff to fulfill key objectives throughout the sale
• Liaising with brands on content delivery, key information, and item delivery where necessary
• Running the logistics for customer delivery, customer returns and return to brand for items.
• Work cross-functionally with the venue and marketing team to ensure a cohesive delivery for in person and digital sales
• Ensure necessary content for all on site campaigns is being developed and delivered within set deadlines
• Produce seasonal product sell-through analysis
• Implement customer support solutions
• Assisting in setting up A/B tests and analysing results to optimise sales & conversion
• Define online KPI’s and provide daily, weekly and monthly trade summaries and reports
• Ensure optimum stock levels are maintained
• Ensure all payment processing, fraud management and post-purchase customer service for the online channel are managed effectively
• Manage seasonal ecommerce product photography shoots where applicable

Marketing
• Work with our marketing strategy to help drive new customer acquisition via channels including; PPC, SEO, Paid Social Media, and Affiliate links
• Help to actively grow subscriber database and drive data capture initiatives within the business
