Amazing opportunity for a student looking to get some experience in the world of HR and the fashion retail industry.

Diesel HR Department;
3/6 months Internship;
ONLY STUDENTS;
Starting ASAP.

We're looking for an easy-going and hard-working intern to support the HR team on daily duties, working in a flat line structure, fast paced but very social environment.

Minimum of 3 days per week, flexible days if required;
Unpaid internship but we expense travel costs (zone 1-4), lunch (up to £5) & we provide clothing allowance.


Human Resources Administrative support:

On a day to day basis there will be exposure to areas of the following administrative support. Attention to detail and accuracy in collation of the below is essential.
•Assisting with drafting of all employment contracts. To ensure that all contracts of employment are processed timely and accurately, and that employees receive prompt written communication on any variation to their role.
•To ensure that the Human Resources Department has all forms of documentation accessible to employees as requested.
•To assist with the management of CVs received into the business and ensure all are dealt with appropriately.
•Ensure that all employment references for both new starters and former employees are responded to.
•Assist in the drafting of change in contractual terms letters for Retail Stores
•Assist in providing support to the department in any change in Company procedures admin.
•Support in the production of training materials
•Maintaining of data integrity and records of employee details held within the HR filing systems and to action periodical housekeeping of all filing systems.
•Exposure to working with systems such as Peoplesoft and RBO

Other

When appropriate to be involved in the following areas of HR:

•To partake in recruitment initiatives
•Involvement in Ad hoc project work

Confidentiality

To maintain strict levels of confidentiality with regard to all areas of the business with specific reference to personal details of employees, salaries and commercial information.

Profile

Requirements: 
 
  • Person must be a current student in UK 
  • Internship must end on the day of graduation at the latest
  • Person must be studying something relevant to HR/Fashion
  • Have some experience in working in retail
  • Flexible, curious, personable, positive person with high integrity and enthusiastic about projects
  • Strong competencies in communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have a passion to work in the Human Resource field
  • Be able to handle confidential information such as employee files
  • Dependable / reliable
