Grace Wales Bonner graduated from Central St. Martins in 2014. She was awarded Emerging Menswear Designer at the British Fashion Awards in 2015, and the LVMH Young Designer Prize in 2016. Wales Bonner has presented at the Serpentine Gallery and the Victoria and Albert Museum. Informed by broad research that encompasses critical theory, composition, literature, and historical sources, Wales Bonner explores a distinctive notion of luxury via a hybrid of European and African approaches. Job description

We are looking for highly motivated and committed design interns with the desire to work in a fast-paced fashion environment to join our team based in Central London and work on the development of the AW19 menswear and womenswear collection.
You’ll be working closely to the creative director throughout the whole design process and will also report to the head of collection and production.

Main responsibilities
-Iconographic and vintage research ahead and throughout the collection
-Being responsible for the creation and update of the colour palette as well as the colour archives
-Create technical drawings and update them following fittings and feedbacks
-Create mock ups
-Being responsible for the creation and update of the different collection boards (visual inspirations, prints, accessories…)
-You’ll also be asked to be multitask and assist with the diverse missions within the studio to ensure together a smooth day-to-day running
-Working on artworks (prints, embroideries …)
-Assisting on style outs and fittings
-Research shall be ongoing but balanced with the daily organization of the studio

We are looking for someone extremely enthusiastic and with a positive attitude towards work.
Please note that this internship but can be part or full time.
The brand is small but in a very promising growth and it is the opportunity for passionate students to learn a lot by being empowered with many responsibilities.
You will be directly working with Grace Wales Bonner on the whole research process while also being an important support on the technical parts of the collection.
