Job description

Job title: Demand Planner

Location: Bristol, Manchester or London

Reports to: Demand Planning Manager

Contract type: Permanent, Full-time, Hybrid Working

What you'll be doing

As a Demand Planner, you will be responsible for forecasting activities associated with customers and products. You will create and maintain the forecast by incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance and our customers.

To be successful in this role, you will need to not only take constructive feedback from key stakeholders, but also be assertive with your findings.

Your Key Tasks

  • You will develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
  • You'll review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results to drive greater forecast accuracy.
  • You will be expected to coordinate cross-functional discussion to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
  • Interaction with sales, marketing, and customer replenishment (OM) to understand demand forecast drivers.
  • Utilise a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
  • Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool.
  • Provide input to the Supply Planning organisation in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
  • Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning.

What you'll need to succeed

· Experience: Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Customer collaboration, Material Planning or Distribution Planning

· Systems: Advanced use of Excel is essential, SAP / SAP APO / SAP IBP and PowerBI is an advantage

· Good understanding of S&OP processes in an international business environment, including demand & supply planning processes
