Roles Available: Customer Deliver Hub Driver- Installer Trainee & Installer

Position: Permanent

Location: Killingworth CDH (Newcastle upon Tyne)

Salary: Please note from 01/04/25 the expected starting rates for a Customer Delivery Hub, Installer Trainee will be£29,000 (Annual) & Installer will be 29,000 (Annual)

Driver Installer Trainee's key Responsibility:

Complete the 3 month Customer Delivery Installer Trainee programme to become a fully qualified John Lewis Customer Delivery Installer.

  • Being an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with great customer service is your number one priority.
  • Load up your lorry with the day's deliveries working alongside the warehouse team.
  • Showing great respect and courtesy for the customer's home and handling unexpected situations to find the best possible solution for your customers.
  • Installing products efficiently and quickly for our customers and demonstrating how they work once installed.
  • Keeping up to date with new products and technologies to ensure you perform your role at your best.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment
Please note this role involves heavy lifting: You will spend a lot of time delivering large items such as sofas, white goods, sports equipment, furniture, beds, and mattresses.

Essential skills/experience you'll need as a CDH Driver Installer:

  • Manual C1 UK driving licence (with a maximum of 6 points)
  • DCPC (Drivers Qualification Card) by the first day in role and Tachograph Card.
  • Previous experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Great verbal communication skills both over the phone and face-to-face
  • Good understanding of technology.
Desirable skills/experience you can bring to the Installer role

  • Experience of home delivery and installation of electrical and furniture products
Driver Installer's key Responsibility:
