Job description

We are looking for an exceptional and experienced candidate to work with our team. We are looking for someone able to bring new ideas, experience and excitement. The ideal candidate is capable to work in a fast-paced environment and will work well under pressure. The Buyer will be responsible for procuring merchandise assortments for an average portion of the business. The Buyer will work to create the appropriate merchandise mix based on emerging market trends, along with meeting the assortment strategies established by management. 

Responsibilities and accountabilities 

•Working directly with creative director buying the range
•Responsible for delivering the strategy for the range
•Accountable for driving category performance, including sourcing, managing supply base
•Execute a merchandise assortment plan that supports the financial and merchandising objectives set by senior management 
•Participate in fittings to evaluate the hanger appeal of a garment, making sure that it is salable 
•Understanding the market place, target customer and key competitors 
•Presenting range direction with directors 
•Assist in the development of the supply base to ensure delivery of the strategy
•Develop trading opportunities and implement as commercially appropriate 
•Weekly reporting generation

Profile

  • Must have previous buying experience within a similar role
  • Commercial awareness and a keen interest in the fashion retail industry
