Founded in Nottingham in the 1970’s, the Paul Smith collections have become internationally recognised and Paul Smith is one of Britain’s most renowned and successful designers. Up until the age of 16, Paul had wanted to be a professional cyclist, but a serious accident set him on a different path. Once out of hospital Paul fell in with a group of art students. They talked constantly about art, architecture and design and Paul found himself longing to be part of that exciting world. Comprising of complete clothing, shoe and accessory collections for men, women and children; representation is further extended by associated product licenses where the potential of the brand has been recognised by key licensees in the fragrance, eyewear and interior businesses.

Job description

The primary function of this role is to oversee the Paul Smith area within the Glasgow House of Fraser store. You will be responsible for ensuring the brand has a positive presence within the store. You will develop in depth product knowledge in order to deliver the best possible customer service. Combining your product knowledge with your engaging personal manner, you will listen to your customers’ tastes and requirements, tailoring your advice and recommendations accordingly in order to maximise sales.


• Acting as a brand ambassador at all times.
• Achieving and maximising set sales targets.
• Developing full product knowledge throughout the area.
• Delivering exceptional customer service.
• Building strong working relationships with the House of Fraser team.
• Giving relevant business feedback to Paul Smith personnel.
• Delivering the brand visual standards while ensuring that stock levels are maintained to the required company standard.

Essential Experience and Skills Required: 
• Previous credible supervisory experience in fashion retail.
• GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above.
• Able to work towards sales targets and have a passion for the Paul Smith product.
• Highly computer literate in order to monitor stock levels and interpret financial data.
• Have the ability to provide excellent customer service.
