Job description

Position Summary:

This is a job for the haircare obsessed. As one of our highly skilled hair advisors you will provide welcoming, authentic, and personalised service to our customers to achieve all customer service and sales targets. With your passion for people, our brand mission, products, and wellness services, you will ensure that each customer has a unique and inspirational in-store experience which educates, inspires, and delights them.

The role will require you to provide engaging customer service through the execution of events, Aveda Services, exceptional communication skills, trend spotting, social media usage, and creativity.

  • Previous retail industry/guest services experience is desirable (preferably within beauty)

  • Experience styling with hot tools (desirable not essential)

  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to provide inspirational, authentic and personalized customer service

  • Ability to work retail hours including days, nights, weekends and special events in a fast-paced work environment

  • Previous experience with retail point-of-sale software is desirable.

  • Applicants must be able to provide proof of right to live and work in the country if invited to attend for interview.

Sales and Service
  • Consistently achieve set sales goals and expectations and proactively drive for more.

  • Be a team player to ensure the team reaches their sales and services goal.

  • Consistently deliver high touch consumer experiences in store.

  • Tailor each experience to meet the client's needs leveraging the guests experience by offering Aveda on counter services.

  • Showcase knowledge and understanding of key product features and benefits to meet consumer needs.

  • Foster an omni-channel approach to meet consumer needs and maximise selling opportunities.

  • Play your part in executing the in-store strategy communicated by your line manager

  • Proactively participate in local and national team initiatives and incentives.

  • Adhere to Store/Company stock management procedures to ensure stock file accuracy and integrity.

  • Implement and maintain visual merchandising in line with Brand/Store/Company guidelines.

  • Always contribute to housekeeping to maintain strong retail standards.

  • Take personal responsibility and ownership of performance and self-development.

  • Adhere to appearance guidelines and personal standards
