Job description

Position Summary The SEO Assistant Manager will be part of the Online function reporting to the SEO Manager and working across several brands. The role will be supporting the brands in delivering the SEO regional strategy and ensuring that the operational and technical set up of the brands websites is fully optimised and in line with SEO best practice. You will be help producing best practice guidelines and reports and analysis into SEO performance. You may also be required to support and advice on SEO optimisations across our Retailer.com and Pure Play partners. You will passionate about SEO and enjoy working in a fast-paced matrix environment. Key Roles & Responsibilities - Support SEO Manager and Brand Teams in the execution of SEO strategy for the UK region - Provide operational expertise and technical SEO guidance to the brands to ensure the websites are fully optimized. - Work with SEO Manager to ensure that all online development projects maximise organic search value. - Carry out regular site audits and analysis across several brand.co.uk websites to ensure they're set up in line with SEO best practice and being continually optimised. Provide recommendations based on keyword research, authority, competition and highlight improvement opportunities. - Regularly review sites to identify broken links, legacy pages and redirect chains. - Manage and produce regular reporting on keyword performance, ranking and organic traffic for selected brands and share recommendations on how to enhance organic search visibility and performance. Report on impact of implemented changes. - Contribute to the creation, maintenance and implementation of SEO best practice guidelines and keyword glossary. - Ensure SEO best practice is considered from url structure, product and navigation set up through to content creation and launches of new campaigns. - Provide keyword glossary and guidance to digital copywriters to ensure on-site copy is fully optimised for SEO. - Ensure we are up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, innovations and opportunities within the SEO space. - Build relationships with key internal teams across brands, marketing, production and content to ensure SEO strategy is aligned.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience - Working knowledge of search engine optimization practices, ranking factors & core principles of SEO - Knowledge and understanding of ranking factors, Google algorithms, latest trends and best practices in SEO - Passion for both technical and content SEO - Experience using Google suite, including Google Analytics and Google Search Console to drive insights - Previous experience of using various SEO tools such as Brightedge, ScreamingFrog, SEMRush, Ahrefs, would be advantageous - Ability to influence and build collaborative relationships. - Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to explain SEO initiatives to stakeholders with various levels of SEO knowledge - Results orientated and strong work ethic.
