In this role, you will oversee and manage a small team of production operatives and technical operatives, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our production lines. Responsibilities: Ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained Conduct Quality Control tests as required Set up the manufacturing equipment and process. Ensure the smooth running of the manufacturing operation Operate, control, monitor and conduct cleaning for the manufacturing process equipment. Ensure we can achieve our KPIs and targets. Ensure the work area meets required GMP hygiene standards Maintain and support right first-time culture Ensure all waste management measures are being adhered to. About the Payroll function and the Role We have an exciting vacancy for a talented and experienced payroll individual to join our payroll department located within the HR Shared Service function. You will be part of a collaborative team that are pro-active and driven with a "can do" attitude. The team operates with a personal and friendly approach to ensure the employee lifecycle function associated with payroll is a positive experience. The successful candidate will be adaptable to change and have the skill and ability to hit the ground running. Previous experience of working in a fast paced, multi complex and large volume payroll department who enjoys working in collaboration with their colleagues then this role is for you. Responsibilities: Under the guidance of the Payroll Manager and Senior Payroll Advisor you would be assisting in the delivery of full end to end payroll processing Processing various pay frequency payrolls in accordance with company policies such as absence and overtime for over 5000+ UK employees. Processing starters and leavers with ADP IHCM payroll system. Inputting of all variable data including Bonuses, Commissions, Overtime and Time & Attendance data within Payroll and HR deadlines Maintain accurate records in the payroll system. Monitoring and administering employee benefits including Childcare Vouchers, Cycle to Work, Tech scheme, Annual Leave purchase, Nursery Voucher scheme to ensure that all deductions are correct and reconciled for fast and efficient payments to the scheme provider. Strong working knowledge of Statutory deductions including Parental leave, SSP and AEO's Assist in the delivery of the company's Workplace Pension to include reconciliation of pension contribution, Opt-in/out, increase contribution, cessation of contribution, preparation of new starter upload to pension provider, maintaining the pension log for audit purposes. Ensuring all PAYE liabilities are processed in accordance with HMRC guidelines. Previous experience in the recovery of Overpayments for current and former staff Ensuring the shared mailboxes are maintained and responded to in a timely manner providing first line support for payroll specific queries and escalating upwards to Payroll Senior/Payroll Manager as appropriate. Assisting with the production of regular and ad-hoc output reports to confirm and validate the accuracy of the payroll data. Liaising with the wider business to actively encourage professional relationships Actively participate in payroll projects to develop wider learning of payroll and business policies Keeping up to date with legislative and regulatory requirements to ensure they are met. Requirements: Minimum of 3 years' experience within a payroll function Experience/Knowledge of ADP IHCM would be advantageous. Experience with manual calculations Sound understanding of Salary Sacrifice schemes. Strong computer skills, confident in the use of Excel to include V-Lookups and pivot tables. Highly numerate Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to ensure recipient receives a "Right first time" resolution to their query. Excellent attention to detail. Can adapt well to changes and updates within the business. About the Role This is an exciting and challenging role where you will be responsible for a wide range of activities. The Payroll Manager is responsible for the management planning and execution of payroll processes and systems to ensure payroll processing occurs in an accurate and timely manner. The Payroll Manager is additionally responsible for the development and coordination of business-wide processes and procedures for payroll management. You will be leading a team of Payroll Advisors who are processing high-volume payrolls from start to finish. Responsibilities: Sets objectives, prioritises workload for the team and develops and recommends changes in policies, procedures, and methods. These tasks ensure proper control, improvement, and efficiency of the business's payroll function. Recruit and develop a high performing payroll support team, assigning, overseeing, and reviewing workload. Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions. Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates. Ensures appropriate information is communicated to our pension providers, HMRC and other statutory bodies. Manage the End of Year statutory returns required by HMRC. Be up to date with HMRC Payroll legislation Participate in projects relating to the development of the integrated payroll-HR database, taking a lead on identifying possible improvements to the systems and playing a key role in implementing agreed changes. Responsible for the preparation and verification of the business's payroll data for the purpose of ensuring accurate and timely payments for members. Requirements: Payroll Expertise: Over 5 years' experience in payroll, with strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, tax regulations, salary sacrifice schemes, and compliance requirements. Experience with ADP IHCM and manual payroll calculations for complex scenarios. Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel, including V-Lookups and pivot tables, with high attention to detail and accuracy in processing payroll and pension data. About Health & Safety and the Role The Health & Safety team ensure that we operate safe working environments for all THG employees and visitors. The team provide on-site support to ensure risks are managed in a timely fashion, as well as completing audits and checks to so the business meets all health, safety and environment-related legislative requirements. The team are also responsible for achieving and maintaining legal environmental compliance to safeguard the business from financial and reputational damage. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Fulfilment Health and Safety Advisor to support the day-to-day health, safety, and environmental activities at our fulfilment centre. This role is key in promoting a strong safety culture on-site, ensuring that all employees operate in a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible manner. You will work closely with the Fulfilment HSE Manager and site teams to carry out risk assessments, deliver training, conduct inspections, and provide practical HSE advice on the ground. Responsibilities: Support the implementation of site-specific HSE policies and procedures. Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to ensure compliance with legal and company standards. Assist with risk assessments, safe systems of work, and permit-to-work processes. Help investigate incidents and near-misses, ensuring accurate reporting and follow-up of corrective actions. Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions to promote safety awareness. Maintain accurate HSE records, including incident logs, training registers, and inspection reports. Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure availability and compliance. Support the HSE Manager in preparing reports and contributing to monthly HSE performance reviews. Engage with employees on safety initiatives and encourage proactive hazard reporting. Stay up-to-date with HSE legislation and best practice to advise operational teams effectively. Requirements: Previous experience in an HSE role, ideally within a warehouse, logistics, fulfilment, or similar fast-paced environment. NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent HSE qualification essential. Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and risk management principles. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and influence frontline teams. Good organisational skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach. Confident in delivering training and briefings to small groups. IT literate, with experience in using Microsoft Office and HSE management systems. Team player with a hands-on attitude and a passion for promoting workplace safety.
