Job description

We have partnered with a luxury accessories brand seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join the business.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

 Liaise with customers (stores, head office), suppliers (metiers) and transport companies
 Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goods: receipt, unpacking, controlling, pricing, labelling, storage, picking, repacking, dispatch of goods
 Use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
 Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these
 Keep stock control systems (Cegid) up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
 Plan future capacity requirements
 Organise the recruitment and training of the staff (2 warehouse assistants currently), as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
 Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
 Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
 Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
 Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment
 Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment
 Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures following Group requirements
 Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation and Group requirements
 Prepare annual budget
 Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
 Control archiving GB sent to the Warehouse.
 Manage Press stock room equipment storage within H&S guidelines.
 Support the activities of 1 or 2 staff sales and 1 or 2 customer sales every year - including planning and organising of each sale.
 Plan, prepare and manage bi-annual Stock takes - with the objective of keeping shrinkage as low as possible.
Skills and Profile
 Proven work experience as a warehouse manager
 Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
 Knowledge of the legal requirements of operating a warehouse
 Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
 Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
 Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
 Strong decision making and problem solving skills
 Excellent oral and written communication skills
 Numeracy and an understanding of finance
 People management skills, including the ability to lead and motivate others, delegate work and explain concepts
 Strong planning and organising skills
 Able to work as part of a team, to inspire, motivate and lead a team of people
 Strong analytical skills
 Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
