We have partnered with a luxury accessories brand seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join the business.
Liaise with customers (stores, head office), suppliers (metiers) and transport companies
Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goods: receipt, unpacking, controlling, pricing, labelling, storage, picking, repacking, dispatch of goods
Use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these
Keep stock control systems (Cegid) up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
Plan future capacity requirements
Organise the recruitment and training of the staff (2 warehouse assistants currently), as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment
Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment
Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures following Group requirements
Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation and Group requirements
Prepare annual budget
Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
Control archiving GB sent to the Warehouse.
Manage Press stock room equipment storage within H&S guidelines.
Support the activities of 1 or 2 staff sales and 1 or 2 customer sales every year - including planning and organising of each sale.
Plan, prepare and manage bi-annual Stock takes - with the objective of keeping shrinkage as low as possible.
Skills and Profile
Proven work experience as a warehouse manager
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
Knowledge of the legal requirements of operating a warehouse
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
Strong decision making and problem solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Numeracy and an understanding of finance
People management skills, including the ability to lead and motivate others, delegate work and explain concepts
Strong planning and organising skills
Able to work as part of a team, to inspire, motivate and lead a team of people
Strong analytical skills
Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
