Senior Buyer - Menswear

Our client is a well established retailer looking for a Senior Buyer to join their Buying department.
The ideal candidate will have a fast fashion/premium background working alongside merchandisers as well as managing a junior team. You will have experience in Menswear multi product and tailoring would be a bonus!
They will be a skilled negotiator with extensive experience dealing with premium/fast fashion suppliers/manufacturers and a thorough understanding of the entire buying cycle. Along side this they will have involvement in product development and be working closely with the design team.
The senior buyer will have a strong knowledge of the market and consumer trends and be able to apply this towards their range.
Your main responsibilities will be:
•Customer demand (e.g. price, quality and availability);
•Involvement in product development
•Analyzing consumer buying patterns and predicting future trends;
•Managing plans for stock levels;
•Reacting to changes in demand;
•Reacting to changes in logistics;
•Meeting suppliers and negotiating terms of contract;
•Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for Future products;
•Managing a junior team.
- Fluent in English
- Experienced in working in a fast paced buying environment.
- At least 2 years working in a Senior buying role.
- Ideally have experience in managing a junior team.
- Have an established track record of driving business forward.
- A strong negotiator and natural leader.
- Strong Excel ability.
- Awareness of current and future trends, knowledge of brands target market and understanding of what is happening in retail.
