Job description

Job title: Sales Consultant (16 - 20h/week)

Reports to: Retail Manager.

Job Purpose: To work as part of the sales team, leading by example to provide excellent customer service and undertake replenishment and merchandising duties to help the store achieve sales and profit targets.

Main responsibilities:

Selling & Customer Service:
- Ensure that customers are acknowledged and receive a quality
service either face to face or over the telephone and be aware of
what happens day to day in the store
- Maintaining and providing comprehensive product information to
customers by displaying good listening skills to identify customer
- Understanding and demonstrating customer care and high levels of
customer service
- Looking for link selling opportunities which will increase basket spend
- Understanding the importance of bestselling lines and feature
- To actively monitor and provide the selling team with feedback and regular coaching on all of the above.
- To maintain a well-groomed appearance at all times in line with the
uniform policy

- Replenish stock and maintain high standards of merchandising and
housekeeping by ensuring that goods are attractively displayed and
correctly priced in line with ticketing guidelines.
- Maintain excellent standards in the stockroom and ensure new stock
is available for replenishment on the shop floor before the store is

Team working:
​- To work as part of the sales team to achieve personal and
department/store objectives through:
- Carrying out additional duties, appropriate to grade, as and when
- Supporting and helping colleagues with their work and getting behind
company initiatives as and when they arise
- Showing a genuine want to help the team achieve its objectives
- Using initiative at all times
- Having the ability and willingness to acquire job related skills and
knowledge through self-development and by learning from others
- Demonstrating flexibility in order to meet store needs and special
events e.g. Sale, peak trading periods, floor moves

​- To deputise in the absence of the Floor Manager/Floor Supervisor.
​- To organise daily tasks relating to replenishment, cleaning, ticketing
and associated paperwork.
​- To assist the Floor Manager/Floor Supervisor with the co-ordination of
breaks and rotas.
- To ensure that all paperwork relating to replenishment, invoices and
transfers is completed and returned within the given timescales.
- To comply with Company standards in Health & Safety, Fire and
Emergency, thus providing a safe environment for colleagues and


Skills and experience needed: 
  • At least 2 years of experience in retail, ideally inside a luxury fashion brand.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
  • Impactful communication and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management & organizational skills.
