International Retail Coordinator
International fashion brand part of the G-III Apparel Group
Reporting into the Director of Retail Coordination, the International Retail Coordinator is responsible for driving retail performance and executing merchandising strategies across department stores through store visits and weekly management.This role will contribute to the profitability and image of the account via merchandise handling, stock replenishment, in-store selling and marketing initiatives. Travel is required on a weekly basis and schedule must be flexible.
•Plan and drive retail sales and sell-through to accounts’ budgets with solution-oriented support.
•Responsible for visual merchandising of women’s apparel and accessories across major department stores and specialty boutiques, enforcing brand visual guidelines. Merchandising responsibilities include remerchandising fixtures, changing mannequins, stock replenishment and standards, and organizing stockrooms.
•Conduct store visit report including competitor analysis and photo decks for all business partners.
•Train designated sales team on product knowledge and brand standards, review performance and support with weekly follow-up.
•Prepare and present brand training to all shop floor teams during store visits and seasonal seminars with all major accounts.
•Establish and nurture relationships with department and visual managers in all doors.
•Assist in securing key floor space in all accounts including additional fixtures, tables and mannequins when needed.
•Implement incentives and events to support sales generation and align with accounts’ marketing activity.
•Analyse weekly sales and style selling on a door level, creating action plan to identify opportunity and liability.
•Create and distribute brand assets to the doors in region; training materials, props, graphics…
•Set up showroom for all categories seasonally, attending all meetings during markets.
•Manage showroom visual merchandising and maintenance on a daily basis.
•Liaise with New York and London offices to execute and deliver company directives.
•Assist in the assortment selection with feedback for doors of the region.
•Support selling during store hours whilst on the shop floor and during promotional events.
- Strong visual merchandising background with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the retail apparel/non-apparel industry
- Ability to travel frequently
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Expert organizer and multi-tasker with attention to detail and follow-up
- Creative thinker and business driver
- Proficient in all Microsoft office programs
- Eager to work and thrive in a dynamic fast pace environment
- Proficient in English (oral and written), additional languages a plus
