Job description

I am recruiting for a Human Resources Manager for a high street footwear brand based in London paying up to £60,000.

Provide advice and guidance to Stores and Head Office line managers in dealing people issues including:
Major misconduct issues in stores, offices and warehouse.
Absence management, including short-term, long-term and unauthorised absence
Performance management (all levels), including ad-hoc situations along with ensuring that the appraisal system is implemented and that standards are consistent across the company.
Recruitment of management and professional staff
Leading and managing projects
Line managing and developing an HR Advisor and ensuring that all documents and correspondence issued by the HR department is legally compliant, accurate and of a consistently high standard.
Developing a training strategy for head office, creating and delivering modules that meet current business needs
Monitoring and managing retention, creating tools to enable the business to track employees career succession
Updating and monitoring HR Policies, Procedures and systems
Adhoc projects to develop the HR function further to become an integral part of all areas of the business
Providing support for Employment issues in Germany & Eire

Profile

Experience within a fast paced multi site retail environment
Graduate CIPD membership and a strong HR generalist track record at a senior level
Experience in writing and delivering training programmes to a wide audience to address the needs of the business
Comprehensive knowledge of employment law and ability to provide practical interpretations of legal compliance to operational situations.
Experience in dealing with long term and short term absence management, disciplinaries and performance management issues

Experience in re-structures, redundancies and change management.

Experience in writing and/or contributing to the creation or amendment of policies, contract of employment, procedures manuals and employee handbooks.

HR Systems experience in managing system and also in the creation and preparation of reports on behalf of the HR department.
