A well known cosmetic brand based in Mill Hill are looking to hire in their finance team. This is a management role reporting directly to the Managing Director. As the company expands, they are looking for a highly efficient and experienced Finance Manager to lead and modernise a small finance team.
The successful candidate will be required to direct and manage all finance activities making recommendations for the ongoing and future financial strategy of the business
*Manage the Finance function of the company. Ensure the smooth running & management of a small team.
*Preparing of end of month accounts, accuracy of book entries and ledger review.
*Variance Analysis: Monthly/Quarterly (TBC by MD) meetings with relevant team members to discuss departmental P&Ls versus budget. Ensure that there is a focus on cost saving and controls around spending (P&L, CAPEX & Stock).
*Management of budgeting & forecasting
*Set stock buying forecast with demand planner and product development team
*Appropriate financial controls to be implemented, to include bank payments, cash management, sales recs, credit control, bank recs (including investigation of discrepancies), accuracy of VAT & other government reporting, stock rec, quarterly balance sheet recs & year-end audit controls.
*Financial data entry
*Preparation/review of weekly & monthly payroll.
*Credit control; eg manage deposit & proforma payments schedule, credit checks and chasing of debt.
*Track actual cash flow movements against budgeted cash flow movements and highlight any issues to MD on a timely basis.
*Responsible for preparation and review of all government submissions, including accuracy of VAT return.
*Ensure Stock is accurate and reconciliation and stock count procedures are strengthened. Monthly stock journal to be posted based on closing stock.
*Liaison with Auditors to ensure all statutory requirements are met for the company in preparation of the year end accounts
*Other adhoc recs and analysis as required, in particular to support the needs of MD and other business functions,
