Job description

We have an opportunity for a Compliance Director to join a successful international fashion supplier group. In this role you will establish and improve the compliance process, develop the organization structure and drive goals and objectives to support customers, vendors and suppliers on social compliance related issues. You will develop and implement/sustain corporate standards for social compliance and related certifications to maintain the highest level of standards.

Main responsibilities of this role will include:

Act as the Primary Liaison with Customers and Suppliers, ensuring clarity of standards and company expectations regarding social compliance and other related issues are met.
Partner with Business leads and factories to resolve issues within the confines of compliance standards and company policies.
Represent the company and its interests in multi-stakeholder groups, government officials, third party audit bodies and industry organizations on social compliance and related regulatory matters.
Lead the vision for Social compliance by developing operational strategies for awareness and business process in line with Company goals and values.
Advise senior leadership and functional departments on compliance matters, changes in legislations, industry practice and standards.
Have an effective communication program for the organization related to Social compliance initiatives.
Effectively monitor Social Compliance trends and applicable laws regarding labor and working conditions in key sourcing markets to analyze impacts of current and potential legislation.
Person requirements:
Strong experience in a senior compliance role within a multi-site retail/franchise environment
A sound understanding of retail practices and procedures
Strong communicator, clear and articulate and able to have frank discussions with key external and internal stakeholders
Ability to build relationships with all stakeholders
Solution focused and a problem solver
Highly analytical and able to provide detailed reports
MS Office literate and advanced in Excel
Flexible and capable of working under pressure
