Job description

Our Client, a globally recognised European brand with its Head-offices in Spain, is looking for a strong Buying Manager specialized in FOOTWEAR womenswear.

As a Buying manager you will be responsible of a team of 4 people for creating and delivering a well designed and trendy product range that fits the most commercial strategy for your department.

About the Job
•Managing a team of 4 people
•Responsible for implementing the strategic direction and financial plans for a specific product category
•Ensure, in accordance with the Product developer and the design team, that the correct level of newness high fashion is present, and that volume lines are maximised and ‘moved on’ at the appropriate time.
•Working closely with the Head of Accessories Design to generate, and communicate key product direction
•Trend analysis
•Working closely with international suppliers and managing the negotiation of cost prices, ordering, agreeing timescales and delivery dates.
•Develop a sound supply policy for the Brand, striving for consistent best practice partnerships. Foresee future weaknesses/needs and suggest possible solutions.
•Working closing with the Product Director to define and communicate a clear vision of the future – translate into understandable goals and targets
•Ensure that the product reflects the Brand strategy, the range is without gaps or duplication, and that the season is logically and commercially thought through


  •  Experience in FOOTWEAR ladieswear
  • Experienced in working in a fast paced buying environment.
  • At least 5 years of buying experience in a fast fashion environment
  • Specialized in accessories bags or small leather goods
  • Have an established track record of driving business forward.
  • A strong negotiator and natural leader
  • Awareness of current and future trends, knowledge of brands target market and understanding of what is happening in retail.
