Job description

We are currently working on a fabulous role with a highly successful British brand who are looking for an Assistant Merchandiser for their International and Wholesale division. The purpose of this role will be to support the Merchandiser in ensuring the management of in-season stock to planned targets and actively trading Outlet Wholesale and International departments.


Main duties of this role will include:
  • Ensuring the weekly trading pack is produced accurately and issued on time
  • Pulling together the weekly trading priorities
  • Supporting the Merchandiser in managing departmental intake
  • Attending weekly production meetings
  • Ensuring stock levels on continuity lines are maintained and monitored 
  • Ensuring the delivery schedule is accurately maintained
  • Addressing fast and poor moving lines to maximise department sales and minimise risk
  • Identifying risks and opportunities in future ranges
  • Working to the critical path ensuring that all key dates and planning and trading deadlines are met by managing workload effectively
  • Ensuring requirements of the ordering cycles and critical path are met, whilst identifying exceptional areas which need immediate action
  • Developing strong working relationships with the companies International Buying team as well as Wholesale & Franchise team
  • Regularly visiting the stores and competitors
Person requirements:
  • Experience within a Merchandising team in a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of merchandising systems
  • Previous Wholesale experience and knowledge of the international markets
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • A solid team player, able to communicate confidently with colleagues at all levels
  • Hold the desire to progress and develop within the company
