Job description

As an Area Manager your role is to ensure all stores in your area are managed in the best possible way according to company’s guidelines. The primary job function is to manage and assume overall responsibility for the success of your stores by directing all operational aspects of each store and driving sales whilst minimizing costs.

You will be based in London and will report to the country manager. You'll be in charge of 10 Stores

1/ Deliver sales and profitability objectives:

-Work on the region sales objectives and set store targets:
•Sales objectives: Month, Half and Year basis

-Manage and deliver KPI’s and business key indicators
•Manage and maintain staff costs: Optimized staff planning depending upon business needs and objectives (achieve % of Staff cost bellow ly)
•IV of 1,70
•Customer attachment: 100% rate

-Monitor daily/weekly and monthly results and build action plans to improve results and be pro-active

-Commercial: Making the right business decision such as transfers, shopfloor moves, replenishment needs...
•Analysing sales reports per store
•Money mapping
•Best sellers
•Knows the product perfectly and is able to give customers feedback in a constructive manner
•Visual merchandising in line and to very high standards with the brand guideline but also challenged when necessary

-Understand and identify priorities to develop initiatives

-Understand his/her market perfectly:
•Customer’s profiles

-Develop strong relationship with department store and store management teams
•Collect information
•Understand environment
•Get support from them

-Exceptional Customer service in your stores:
•Build a strong customer base in each store
•Ensure stores develop a personalized relationship with customers by re-introducing client books
•Work on the TOP 20 action plan
•Develop customer events with the marketing plan working in anticipation

2/ People management:

-Manage a team of store managers and motivate his/her team by strong management skills:
•Lead by example
•Promote the high-end image of Sandro internally and externally
•Listen, support and communicate efficiently
•Very hands on and strong floor presence
•90% of their time is in the stores of the area focusing on store priorities

-Organize team meetings and training for the managers and team members:
•Deliver key messages
•Create focus
•Participate to weekly launch and daily launch in stores

-Work on staff competencies and individual development plans
•Identify succession plan in his/her area and with the manager in order to develop mobility
•Identify training needs and suggest training actions
•Deliver trainings in a timely manner
•Ensure all staff has been given objectives and is met on a weekly/Monthly meeting to review results
•Coach the store managers on the floor
•Use performance review monthly

-Recruit his team to the highest standard possible and anticipate recruitment needs with HR

-Manage performances of the managers and store team

-Delegate efficiently and follow up

3/ Operations:
-Stock control and shrinkage: Results of stocktake below 1% for corners and 0,5% for Standalone stores
Participate to all stocktakes to ensure perfect organization and identify actions of improvement (opening on time, preparation, negative stock and faulty stock dealt with...)

-Use the tools given to manage their stores efficiently:
•Checklist visits
•HR tools
•Focus day

-Participate and organize new store openings


Native speaker with a good knowledge of the UK market

You must speak French
