Job description

Reports to: PR Director The Account Manager is a public relations position that works closely with Account Executive and Account Managers & Directors to fulfil client needs. In this position they will proactively seeks out opportunities and actively maximize client coverage and build brand awareness across fashion editorials, news and features. He/She will be able to work independently as well as part of the team to ensure smooth running of the division in daily tasks. Must have 3+ years’ experience in a fashion & luxury brand or busy agency environment, proven track record of results and excellent pre-existing media relationships. The ideal candidate should be passionate about the industry and communication, have excellent writing skills and a results driven mentality.
Role Objective:
- First point of contact for all day-to-day media requests including and not limited to:
o Client liaison
o Overseeing sample traffic activity and results and finding new editorial opportunities
o Planning and monitoring delivery of the results based on the seasonal strategy
o Generates story ideas and angles
o Features and news pitching
- Develop and execute PR campaigns, brand plans and media strategies
- Working closely with the team on seasonal strategies and handle day to day PR activity on assigned accounts
- Planning and executing strategic media outreach to secure media coverage, features and news stories across online, print, long and short lead UK and international media outlets
- Managing Account Executive and Account Coordinator, ensuring clients are included in all key stories and shoots – overseeing sample trafficking & media coverage to ensure requests are dealt correctly and in a timely manner and that use of samples is maximized
- Overseeing credit reports and finds solutions for any potential issue or poor editorial performance
- Executing and managing seasonal shows, presentations and press appointments and their reports - Creating interesting content and strong, creative writing material for pitches across Fashion and VIP placements (UK and International media) - Write interesting, creative, and effective press materials - Responsible for the upkeep of the media database
- Proactively cultivating pre-existing contacts and fostering new relationships
- Managing and supporting on all agency’s events, projects, shows
- Able to lead, encourage, mentor, and develop junior staff members
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Daily client management and main point of contact
- Handing all media enquiries and client requests
- Pitching for features and news stories: delivering successful results on agreed objectives and within the set
timeframe
- Proactive approach towards editors and stylists across the UK and International arena to secure media
coverage
- Execution of reports
- Planning weekly mail-outs and hot sheets
- Managing seasonal shows, presentations and re-see appointments
- Managing and updating media databases
- Managing and mentoring Account Executive and Collection Coordinators
- Ad hoc team support across all agency’s activities
- Managing company Instagram

Profile

Key Attributes:
Applicants must have in depth knowledge and passion for the luxury & fashion industry, including brands, media,
VIPs, influencers, as well as wider interest in the creative field. Applicants should have an broad understanding of all
aspects of Communications, PR, Marketing and Branding.
- A minimum of 3 + years of experience in a busy, fast-paced luxury press office; ideally in agency
or a mix of agency and in-house
- Associate or bachelor degree required in advertising, PR, marketing, communication or related
field would be beneficial
- Ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills (both written and oral), research, and
organization skills
- Sets goals, monitors and reviews plans and prioritises tasks effectively with strong follow up skills
- Established network of media contacts (global)
- Be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and multitask, with leadership qualities and
able to delegate when appropriate
- Must be a self-starter and enthusiastic team player, with the ability to motivate others
- Strong work ethic, can do attitude
- Generates novel and useful ideas and solutions to everyday problems and challenges, always
accomplishing tasks accurately; has an eye for detail
- Strong computer skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Photoshop
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
